Writer Profile: Antonio Connolly

This is a site that encourages other people to join us by contributing their own stories. Whenever a new writer contributes to Bits and Beats we ask them to fill out a short questionnaire to give a little background information on the person.

“I am a photographer, video editor, and writer from Queens, New York. I went to school for film and broadcasting. The two dream jobs that I have are working with Rooster Teeth or doing voice over work. I currently am a host and producer for the podcast Facts Not Included. I’m just trying to mike it in a world that doesn’t want you to” – Antonio C.

  1. If you were stranded on a desert island and could only bring 1 book, 1 full TV series, 1 movie, 1 video game and 1 album, which would you bring? (Assume electricity is available).
    • Book: “The Alchemist” – Paulo Coelho
    • TV Series: Game of Thrones
    • Movie: Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
    • Video Game: Overwatch if we had internet, but if not Final Fantasy 7
    • Album: One More Light – Linkin Park
  1. First video game you remember playing.
    • That’s easy Pokemon Blue. I remember getting it at Toys R’ Us and playing it in the backseat of my dad’s car driving it back to our apartment.
  1. First album you remember owning.
    • That would be the “Black Album” by Jay Z. I remember going to Best Buy and just wanting to buy an album and I just saw it there.
  1. What song would you play if you wanted to fall asleep?
    • Any version of “Dearly Beloved” from Kingdom Hearts
  1. Which character in the Mario universe do you identify most with?
    • Mario “Jumpman” Mario since he’s been my main in Smash Bros for years.
  1. What is your go to feel good song?
    • That changes time to time but right now it’s “Redbone” by Childish Gambino
  1. What is your favorite/most utilized form of escapism?
    • Photography, and Listening to Music
  1. If you had to pick 5 artists for your dream lineup, who would they be?
    • 1: Tupac
      2: K Dot
      3: J Cole
      4: Eminem/Logic
      5: Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park and Fort Minor
  1. You are given the opportunity to meet any 1 person (alive or dead), who would it be?
    • Bruce Lee to be able to learn Kung Fu and his wisdom would be amazing
  1. You just pulled an all nighter. What is most likely the reason you stayed up all night?
    • Definitely playing video games or trying to beat my friend Jose in a who can stay up all night game we used to have.
